Afternoons at Parklife: Where Kids Come to Play, Create and Connect

Afternoons at Parklife Bali

Afternoons with children can go one of two ways.

They can drift into screens, routines, and “what should we do now?”… or they can open up into something a little more meaningful — a chance to move, create, and connect with others.

At Parklife Family Hub in Canggu, we’ve created a simple rhythm to weekday afternoons that gives families exactly that.

Every weekday at 4pm, we host guided activities designed for children to join in, explore, and enjoy together — all included as part of the Parklife experience.

A Moment in the Day That Feels Different

Afternoons with children

There’s something about the late afternoon.

Energy dips, attention wanders, and kids are often looking for something to engage them. Our 4pm activities are designed to meet that moment — not with pressure or structure, but with just enough guidance to spark curiosity and bring children together.

It’s not about perfect outcomes or finished products.

It’s about the process. The laughter. The shared experience.

The Power of Playing Together

Afternoons at Parklife

One of the most valuable things children gain from these sessions is the chance to be part of a group.

To work alongside others. To share ideas. To take turns. To build something together.

In a world where so much play can become individual, these small moments of collaboration matter.

At Parklife Family Hub, we see it every day — children who arrive quietly, and within minutes are part of something bigger. A game, a project, a shared laugh.

That sense of community is what keeps families coming back.

A Gentle Shift Away From Screens

Modern family life is busy, and screens are often part of that rhythm. We understand that.

What we offer isn’t about removing that entirely — it’s about creating an alternative that feels just as engaging, if not more.

Something hands-on. Something social. Something real.

When children are given the space to move, create, and interact with others, they naturally lean into it. No pressure, no resistance — just genuine enjoyment.

What’s Happening Each Day at 4pm

Each weekday brings something a little different, giving children variety while keeping a familiar routine.

Monday — Collaborative Art Project
A chance to create something bigger together. From large-scale paintings to shared builds, children explore creativity while working side by side.

Tuesday — Move & Groove
Music on, bodies moving. This session is all about energy, rhythm, and letting kids express themselves through movement in a fun, relaxed way.

Wednesday — Mad Science
Curiosity takes over. Think simple experiments, reactions, and hands-on discovery that spark imagination and a sense of wonder.

Thursday — Backyard Games
Classic outdoor play — running, laughing, and friendly competition. The kind of games that bring kids together instantly.

Friday — Water Games
The perfect way to end the week in Bali. Splashing, cooling off, and enjoying carefree fun in the sun.

Easy for Parents, Exciting for Kids

Easy for Parents, Exciting for Kids

One of the things parents love most is how easy it feels.

There’s no planning, no prep, no pressure to organise anything. You arrive, settle in, and the afternoon unfolds naturally.

While the children are engaged and having fun, parents can take a moment — enjoy a coffee, connect with other families, or simply watch their child be part of something.

A Place to Belong

At its heart, Parklife Family Hub has always been about more than just activities.

It’s about creating a space where families feel comfortable, children feel confident, and everyday moments feel a little more special.

These weekday afternoons are a simple part of that — but often, they become the highlight of the day.
